Babylove

Aidan is so big now that he wears 12 month pajamas! He needs them because he is tall, not very large. As far as that's concerned, he is still a little beanpole, save for his legs. It seems like he has little doughboy legs, and I love it. I want to squeeze them all day long, and believe me, I do. He is such an awesome little guy, always so happy. He makes a funny little scrunched- up face and snorts when he is excited. Here he is practicing standing up some more, and playing with his "friend" in the mirror.
Whoop Whoop!

Here I am. I haven't updated in so long. What the Hell is wrong with me? Well, the news is that Mr. Aidan is totally pulling up on everything, sort of cruising, definitely falling on his head a lot. Poor little guy. But he is so proud of himself when he gets up, you can see the the little dimple in his chin because he smiles so big. My little guy is not so little anymore. We are also weaning right now, which is a whole lot of fun. It's rather disturbing, and it seems like he has a new opinion on it every day. One day it's no boob, the next it's boob-o-rama. So, I think my body is really confused and upset about this. Not to mention in pain. Yay for me.
So, DJ has been gone for a week, and it's been very quiet around here. He is with his aunt and uncle, bless their hearts. We go to pick him up from their house on Sunday, and then we drive him part way to Michigan to see David's mom for a week. It will be good for him to be busy before school starts.
Jack is really excited about going to preschool, he asks me every day if the leaves on the trees are changing color yet. He would cry when I told him he couldn't go to school every day, so I had to tell him something he would understand, that he would be going when the leaves change color. I can't believe it's almost here.
David is super busy at the store, it's doing really well and he is working a ton of hours. I miss him, but I know it's for his betterment, I think he will go far with this company.
So, that's it for now. I get to go make bread because my dad gave me his breadmaker. Yeah!

Busy, busy.
David just opened his new store and it did amazingly well this weekend. He is coming home exhausted, to an exhasuted wife. He has been working really long hours and it tends to be rough for both of us. We went to the opening and ribbon cutting, and I was so proud of him for going through all of this hard work, he did a great job. I really feel that this is the place for him to advance his career, it comes naturally to him to work with people. David is just a kind, patient person. I am so lucky to have him.
The boys are doing well but pushing me to the edge of my sanity- I have been with them nonstop for the past week with very little help, from about 8:00 AM until 10-11:00 pm. David and I both need a calgon. I would just prefer mine without a kid banging on the door. I am going to at leat go sit next to him and watch Web Junk- I will write more later.

Jump-o-matic.
On the 4th of July we went over to David's sister's house. She had a Johnny Jump-up in the doorway and we decided to see if Aidan would like it. We donated Jack's because we were convinced that we would never have another kid. Well, he loved it. So much in fact, that mommy got a bug up her butt to go find one for him.
We don't have mouldings on our door frames, so the Johnny Jump-up was a no go. But I remembered that there was this thing that was like an exersaucer/jumper, and so I took all the crap I had been saving for my garage sale over to Once Upon A Child. I was hoping to get at least $65.00 for all my crap, but oddly enough they didn't take my high-end stuff, the things from boutiques and places like Janie and Jack. Weird. They took all the literal crap. Speaking of crap, we had to hang out there an insane amount of time, 2 hours to be exact, and during that time Jack managed to clog the toilet with his 275 pound man-sized poop. So, I had a baby in one hand, DJ in the corner, Jack with his pants around his ankles and an unwiped butt, and I was busy plunging the toilet hoping no one was waiting for the restroom. There was, of course. Ahhhh, these are the finer moments of motherhood, really.
So, since we had so much time to spend there, I walked around and came across what else but a Jumparoo! It was only $35.00 and it looked brand-new, save for what looked like a little peanut butter. No, it wasn't poop. Actually, it looked more like caramel. Who gives their baby caramel anyway? Flippin idiot.
The revalation I had was why the hell don't I go here all the time? When I first had Jack, everything had to be new. But really that was the stupidest thing, kids grow out of toys in 2 seconds and I was on my way to spend more than half of what I paid for the old one on a new Jumparoo. Why? Because I am a snob? I hope not. It just never even occured to me. I got rid of all my old junk and got some new-looking new junk in one fell swoop. No sooner had I arrived home did I start to plan out what else I will sell. I can't wait until he grows out of his carseat, because I hate lugging that thing around and also because I have kept in in such good condition I'm sure it will fetch us a new and exciting toy.
The trip was worth it, and so was cleaning it up, he absolutely loves the thing and I can actually do the dishes without the fear of him gnawing through the cable wires like a rabid hamster.

The reason my kids rock...

They let me have my mother-daughter moments, even though they are boys. I know, I know, I could scar them for life. But the cool part is they have a really great attitudes about make-up, it's just sort of benign and fun, which is as it should be. Though I do wonder if that's how Eddie Izzard started out? No matter, the guy is freaking hilarious.
